Mary Light Blue-grey
This yarn is from Mary. Mary is Shetland cross North Ronaldsay ewe. Her fleece pattern is traditionally called iset. It is white with lots of black and grey fibres in it, which gives an overall delicate blue hue. I have never seen this colouring repeated outside of a naturally occurring fleece. I feel very lucky that all her lambs (Peggy, Tim and Tina) have the same fleece as her! It makes for an extremely fine yarn, which would be perfect for making more delicate knitwear.
This yarn is entirely hand spun.
